| What we believe
We take comfort in the knowledge that we are not our own but belong body and soul , in life and in death to our faithful Savior Jesus Christ.
We believe that our eternal God is the Creator of all things in the universe including people whom he created in his own image. Our triune God, manifested in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, provides for and controls the world that he created. He has made himself known to us through the Bible which tells us all we need to know about God, his plan for our lives and how he wants us to live. Humans , created in perfection, have disobeyed God and through disobedience, sin has condemned us all. Although we are unworthy, God through his grace sent his Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to suffer and die on the cross to redeem us. After his death, Christ rose from the grave conquering death for all of who believe and through grace accept his promise of salvation. On that final day of judgment all people will be brought in to the presence of a just God. Only those who have accepted Christ's promise of forgiveness will be welcomed to everlasting joy in his presence for all eternity.
While we remain of this earth, Christ has called us to follow his teachings, to love God with our hearts, souls, and minds and to love our neighbors. Loving our neighbors includes telling them of the wonderful news of eternal salvation found only through Jesus Christ. As members of his universal church, we are called to worship together to praise His name to be strengthened in our faith.
We are members of the Christian Reformed Church of North America a small denomination of 300,000 souls worshiping in 1000 congregations in 38 U.S. states and 9 Canadian provinces. |
